“This is Our Zoey Grace. She is light and beauty and all that is perfect in this world. She came blazing into our lives sporting an extra chromosome, born straight into congestive heart failure, suffered a stroke prenatally that has left her with a secondary diagnosis of cerebral palsy, fought a catastrophic form of epilepsy and because our girl likes to go big, battled leukemia at the tender age of 19 months. But none of those things define her. What does is her indomitable will to survive and the joy that she scatters amongst those who choose to take the time to get to know her. She is the axis from which we all turn and truly the greatest gift of our lives. I often tell people, please do not pity us. Instead be jealous of us. For we truly are the lucky few.
